![]() ![]() The other reason it works so well is the variety in enemy types, and the way they slot together when sharing the arena. Death never feels frustrating, it feels like a missed opportunity. I love this feeling of vulnerability balanced with the knowledge that I have everything I need to survive. I’m always playing on the edge, survival feels like a struggle, so much that if you stop concentrating for more than a few seconds you’re likely to be dead already. On Ultraviolence I felt like I was dancing a line between satisfying power and frightening vulnerability. What keeps me going with this game is the combat experience, obviously. This was directly after playing through Doom 2016 as well, I think I might be a hopeless case. Doom Eternal consumed me, and I don’t want it to stop. I love it when a game grabs me hard, especially after several months of jumping from one game to another enjoying them but never really being consumed by them. ![]() ![]() I guess it’s going to be no secret that I loved this game to bits. Took a few attempts but the final boss wasn’t as hard as Khan Maykr. ![]()
